LAKELAND — A trio of FHSAA state boys weightlifting medals are coming back to Marathon High School as, after a season work of hard work, the Dolphins’ Max Childress, Matthias Martinez-Velez and Tanner Ross all finished in the top six on Saturday, April 12, at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland.

Martinez-Velez began the medal haul with a fourth-place finish in the Traditional 139-pound weight class totaling out at 415 pounds with a 180-pound max in the clean and jerk and 235-pound bench press.
