KEY LARGO — The Key Largo Wastewater Treatment District on March 4 considered a list of upcoming projects recommended by Weiler Engineering to improve wastewater treatment, address vulnerabilities from sea-level rise and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. The nine projects are expected to cost $30 million.

The district board also revisited the schedule for the rate increases approved last month, which calls for two 6.2% increases in the 2025 calendar year.
